We stand behind everything we sell. If for any reason you are not satisfied with the product, simply return the item within 30 days and we'll replace it or give you a refund. Please read "Returns" below for more information. Sale and "closeout" items are non-refundable.

Shipping in the Continental US

Two shipping options are offered for merchandise delivery:

  • Standard Ground: $10.00
  • 3-Day (weekdays): $20.00

Note: Orders usually ship one business day after being placed.

Please note that some items may be subject to additional shipping and handling charges because of size or weight. i.e. bikes, trainers, wheels, wetsuits.

Please contact us for shipping costs outside the continental United States.


The items you see on our web store are the items we keep in stock. If you see an item in a particular size or color you can expect us to have it in stock. However, occasionally some items are unexpectedly out of stock or unavailable and may be backordered. If this should occur, we will contact you before processing your order.

Bike Return Policy:

  • All bikes must be in new condition.
  • All returns must be less than 30 days after sale of bike.
  • Returned bikes which have already been fit for the customer, will be charged $200 for the fitting fee.
  • Layaway bikes taken off of layaway and that have been fit already, will be subject to the $100 fitting fee as well as the 15% restocking fee.
  • If the bike has accessories being returned with the bike, the accessories will be subject to any or all of the following: Installation charge of the accessory (even if there was no charge at time of sale), Removal charge of that accessory, Minimum 25% fee for out of package return.
  • Accessories will not be accepted if they are not able to be re-sold as "new".


If there’s a problem with something you purchased from us, you can either bring it to our store or ship it back. Ship returns via Ground UPS or insured US Mail. We will refund shipping costs on damaged or incorrect merchandise, with approval from Gear West Bike & Triathlon. (Labor fees are not refundable, i.e., custom built wheels.)

Used merchandise may not be returned. Defective/Warranty merchandise will be exchanged or replaced for new product.

If you need to return an item (non-sale, non-closeout) you may do so with in 30 days from the date of purchase for a full refund. All you need is your receipt (we often ring up your purchase under your name if you don't have your receipt). The product must be in it's original package, in new condition, with all appropriate literature and manuals. If you paid by check you will be mailed a refund check within 14 days from time of purchase.

Between 30 and 45 days: You may bring the product back for store credit in this timeframe.

After 45 days: There are no returns for items after 45 days.

Sale, Closeout and Orange Tag items are not returnable. You must have written approval at time of purchase to return any of these items.

Rental Policy: Rental items are not returnable. Once you have rented and paid for a rental item (Wetsuit, Bike, Race Wheels, Travel Case, etc.) the rental fee is not refundable. Since there is specific sizing on most of the rental items we turn away potential customers once the item is rented. Therefor a cancellation of a rental is not eligible for a refund whether the rental item is used or not.

Layaways: There is a 15% restocking fee on all Layaway items. If the item is on Layaway for more than 45 days it is subject to a 25% restocking fee. No refunds on items left on Layaway more than 60 days.

This website is intended to help you. We make every effort to maintain current, accurate prices in our on-line catalog. And we strive for similar accuracy and timeliness with the other information we offer here. We appreciate your understanding should any of the prices or other information provided be incorrect and regret any inconvenience such mistakes may create. Please bring any errors you may find to our attention on your next visit or by calling or sending us an e-mail.

Bike Storage

All repairs are subject to a $1 per day storage fee if the item/bike is not picked up within 14 days of the completion of the service work.

The same storage policy ($1/day) is in effect for TriBike Transport Bikes. TriBike Transport bikes must be picked up within 7 days of drop off by TriBike Transport.
